  • Hours are 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily, and happy hour is from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Open mic nights are every Monday; karaoke is offered Tuesday through Sunday.
  • A full lunch and dinner menu is offered at both locations, with appetizers, burgers and sandwiches, soups and salads along with some traditional Irish fare.
  • High-definition flat-screen televisions fill up the bar and, in Mission Viejo, most of the restaurant.

Claim to fame: The corned-beef tacos. Patsy Wagoner, who opened the Laguna Niguel pub in 1984, brought along her recipe from Pennsylvania. Don Wagoner and her husband, Don, sold the Laguna Niguel location to daughter Mary Ann. "I would say that it just feels like you're right at home," said Amy Sim, another daughter. "It's kind of like a 'Cheers' bar where you can be here for an hour or you can be here all day." Football fans can certainly be there all day on game days. The pub is the unofficial hangout of Cleveland Browns backers, among other fan groups.

Did you know? The pub fills up on St. Patrick's Day, and green beer, corned beef and cabbage are staples. "It feels like home," Sim said. "It's not your typical Orange County bar. It's not stuffy. You feel welcomed. You're just comfortable."
